Illustrated with the armorial bearings of 308 of the ancient nobles, barons and principal families of Scotland.Ownership note: St John Museum copy is from the Library of Kinfauns Castle, Perthshire (with the armorial bookplate of Lord Gray on front pastedown); armorial bookplate of the Rawlinson branch of the Scottish Tweedie family (with the motto "Thol and think") and with inscription "Michael Forbes Tweedie" on front pastedown.
